Why Starbun Was Gone. And Is Now Back!

Hello my dearest Starbun Readers. Thank you for the patience. Torturous, I know.
But Emmett Hall is back in his Canadian town of Vancouver. Where was he? What could possibly have postponed Starbun for so long? Why, he attempted a Vacation!
Yeah...I finished my job in Paris and thought I'd best take advatage of being in Europe before going back to Canada. I signed up for a drawing course/holiday in Italy. You and 13 other people chill out in the Italian countryside for 3 weeks drawing thousands of years of history. Cool!

This is who I was stuck with (all by myself) for 3 WEEKS. 13 quebecois strangers that look like they were randomly pulled out of a PTA meeting.
And add the fact that my wallet was stolen and I was stuck in the airport a whole day before meeting the group.
Can you find the asshole who created Starbun?
A clue: The one who is not your mom.

Hello. I am bad. My updates are never. I am sorry.
My vacation is having...some problems.
So the best I can do for now is show a Starbun many of you have seen! A long time ago!
I secret hidden Starbun lost in the depths of the internet.
It was an introduction to Starbun for old colleagues of mine at Atomic Cartoons. Just replace Atomicateers with your own name and it just for you!
I will get back to this bullshit when I can.

STARBUN GUEST ARTIST

While I am away and haven't much time to make up Starbuns on my own time, I have a special installment this post: A guest artist!
Mary Anne Leslie (stellar illustrator and animator) took on the burden to keep the Starbun Blog alive and whipped up her own "wicked dangerous" episode. And it this has it all! Hilarious drawings, funny jokes, a hidden cameo, stretchy panels, pretty colours and a not-so-subtle nod to (one my favorite comic strips too btw) Sally Forth.
Thanks Mary Anne! C'mon everybody. You too. Look straight into your monitor and say "thank you Mary Anne".

Well my dedicated readers: We did it! As a team! Where I did all the work! Made it to 25 episodes of Starbun. Got there faster than I expected.

However, I have some saddish news. For you. I am going on vacation. This means Starbun will be considerably less frequent. I won't have access to a computer very often, so for the next month or so Starbun's will be rare. I will try and get something up at least every week. Episode here...fan art there...other treats. A guest artist is in the works too!

When I get back to Vancouver in July I hope to get right back to whipping up Starbuns. Also I talked to the president of the internet and he said that he would grant me the option to have a real starbun website! Wow. So maybe that will happen.

Anyway. Thanks again for reading and digging and do check back from time to time. I will try my best to keep this little microcosm of starbunnity alive over the next while

Hey champs!
Time for another Starbun fan art post! What can I say? People dig drawing the little guy. I know I do. ha ha!
This artist has taken a somewhat different approach to the Starbun character.
A really very uncomfortable one.
Who are you? Why would you take the time to do this?
Don't.
Ewww. It is so weird!
Generally I would try and give some constructive criticism. Like: The star is wrong and that those orange coffee beans on the beach look stupid and never double click the photoshop icon ever again.
But I can't. Because I am speechless.
